Key responsibilities will include:
- Designing, implementing, and managing security architectures for cloud environments (AWS, Azure, GCP).
- Developing and enforcing security policies, standards, and procedures for cloud deployments.
- Conducting security assessments, vulnerability scans, and penetration tests to identify and remediate risks.
- Implementing and managing security tools such as firewalls, intrusion detection/prevention systems, SIEM, and endpoint security solutions.
- Developing and maintaining incident response plans and leading security incident investigations.
- Ensuring data privacy and compliance with regulations (e.g., GDPR, PCI DSS).
- Collaborating with development and operations teams to integrate security into the CI/CD pipeline (DevSecOps).
- Providing security guidance and mentorship to engineering teams.
- Staying current with emerging security threats, vulnerabilities, and technologies.
- Evaluating and recommending new security technologies and solutions.
- Automating security tasks and processes wherever possible.
- Responding to security audits and reviews.
The ideal candidate will have a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience. A minimum of 7 years of experience in information security, with at least 4 years focused on cloud security architecture. Extensive experience with major cloud providers (AWS, Azure, GCP) and their native security services. Proficiency in security frameworks and best practices (e.g., NIST, ISO 27001). Strong understanding of networking protocols, encryption, identity and access management (IAM), and security operations. Experience with scripting languages (e.g., Python, Bash) for automation. Relevant security certifications such as CISSP, CCSP, or cloud-specific security certifications are highly desirable. Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills are essential.
