Our client is seeking a highly skilled Senior Civil Engineer with a specialization in structural design to lead critical infrastructure projects. This is a fully remote role, offering the flexibility to work from any location while requiring seamless virtual collaboration with design teams, project managers, and construction crews, including those potentially based in or near Mombasa . The ideal candidate will possess a deep understanding of structural analysis, design principles, and building codes, with a proven ability to deliver robust and innovative structural solutions.

- Provide technical guidance and mentorship to junior structural engineers and design staff.
- Ensure designs meet all safety, regulatory, and performance requirements.
- Manage structural engineering aspects of projects, ensuring timely delivery of design packages.
- Stay current with advancements in structural engineering materials, technologies, and best practices.
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Civil Engineering with a specialization in Structural Engineering.
- Minimum of 7 years of progressive experience in structural design and analysis.
- Professional Engineer (PE) license or equivalent is required.
- Proficiency in structural analysis software (e.g., SAP2000, ETABS, STAAD.Pro) and CAD software (e.g., AutoCAD, Revit).
- In-depth knowledge of building codes (e.g., IBC, ACI, AISC) and seismic design principles.
- Proven experience managing structural design aspects of complex projects remotely.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and critical thinking skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively in a virtual team environment.
