- Develop and maintain robust, scalable, and reproducible bioinformatics workflows.
- Contribute to the interpretation of research findings and the preparation of manuscripts for publication.
- Stay abreast of the latest advancements in bioinformatics, computational biology, and relevant scientific fields.
- Mentor junior scientists and provide technical guidance on computational approaches.
- Develop and manage databases for biological information.
- Present research findings at scientific conferences and internal meetings.
- Ensure data integrity and security in all research activities.
- Ph.D. in Bioinformatics, Computational Biology, Computer Science, Statistics, or a related quantitative field.
- A minimum of 7 years of experience in bioinformatics research and development.
- Extensive experience with programming languages such as Python, R, and Perl.
- Proficiency in using bioinformatics tools and databases (e.g., BLAST, Ensembl, UCSC Genome Browser).
- Strong experience with NGS data analysis and interpretation.
- Familiarity with statistical methods and machine learning techniques applied to biological data.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to work independently in a remote environment.
- Strong communication and collaboration skills, essential for cross-functional remote teams.
- Experience with high-performance computing (HPC) environments.
- Track record of publications in peer-reviewed journals.
