Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement sophisticated algorithms and computational methods for the analysis of large-scale biological data, including genomics, transcriptomics, proteomics, and metabolomics.
- Design and execute bioinformatics pipelines for data processing, quality control, and statistical analysis.
- Interpret complex biological data to identify significant findings, generate hypotheses, and inform experimental design.

The ideal candidate will hold a Ph.D. in Bioinformatics, Computational Biology, Computer Science, Statistics, or a closely related field. A minimum of 7 years of post-doctoral research experience in bioinformatics is required, with a strong publication record demonstrating significant contributions to the field. Extensive experience with programming languages commonly used in bioinformatics (e.g., Python, R, Perl, Java) and proficiency in utilizing high-performance computing environments are essential. Demonstrated expertise in analyzing diverse biological datasets (e.g., next-generation sequencing, microarrays, mass spectrometry) and experience with common bioinformatics tools and databases (e.g., NCBI, Ensembl, Galaxy) are critical. Strong statistical and machine learning skills are highly desirable. Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and critical thinking abilities are a must.
