- Investigate safety incidents, anomalies, and near misses, determining root causes and recommending corrective actions.
- Develop safety requirements and specifications for new aviation systems and product development.
- Collaborate with design engineers, test engineers, and regulatory authorities to ensure safety is integrated throughout the product lifecycle.
- Prepare safety documentation, reports, and presentations for internal stakeholders and regulatory bodies.
- Participate in safety reviews, audits, and compliance checks.
- Stay current with advancements in aviation safety technologies, methodologies, and regulatory landscapes.
- Mentor junior safety engineers and foster a strong safety culture within the organization.
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Aerospace Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related discipline.
- A minimum of 7 years of progressive experience in aviation safety engineering or a related safety-critical field.
- In-depth knowledge of aviation safety regulations (e.g., EASA Part 21, FAA FARs, ARP4761, ARP4754).
- Proven experience with safety assessment methodologies (FMEA, FTA, HAZOP).
- Strong understanding of aircraft systems, avionics, and propulsion systems.
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
- Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to clearly articulate complex safety concepts remotely.
- Experience in developing and implementing Safety Management Systems (SMS).
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple safety-critical projects concurrently in a remote environment.
