- Perform advanced engineering analysis, including Finite Element Analysis (FEA) for stress, thermal, and vibration simulations, and Computational Fluid Dynamics (CFD) where applicable.
- Select appropriate materials and manufacturing processes (e.g., casting, forging, machining, injection molding) to meet component specifications and cost targets.
- Develop and execute rigorous design validation plans, including bench testing, durability testing, and in-vehicle testing coordination.
- Collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams, including electrical engineers, software developers, manufacturing engineers, and quality assurance specialists, in a remote setting.
- Troubleshoot and resolve complex mechanical design issues encountered during development, testing, and production phases.
- Ensure all designs comply with automotive industry standards (e.g., ISO/TS 16949), safety regulations, and client-specific requirements.
- Document design specifications, test reports, design reviews, and manufacturing instructions thoroughly.
- Mentor junior mechanical engineers and provide technical guidance and leadership.
- Stay abreast of emerging automotive technologies, materials, and design methodologies.

- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related automotive engineering field.
- 8+ years of professional experience in mechanical design and product development, specifically within the automotive industry.
- Proficiency in advanced 3D CAD software and PDM/PLM systems common in the automotive sector.
- Extensive experience with FEA and other simulation tools for automotive applications.
- In-depth knowledge of automotive materials, manufacturing processes, and failure modes.
- Experience with automotive systems such as powertrains, suspension, braking, or thermal management.
- Excellent problem-solving, analytical, and critical thinking skills.
- Proven ability to lead projects and work effectively in a remote, collaborative team environment.
- Strong communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills.
