This role is crucial for providing advanced diagnostic expertise and technical guidance to automotive repair technicians and dealerships worldwide. The ideal candidate will possess an in-depth understanding of modern vehicle systems, including engine management, ABS, airbags, infotainment, and advanced driver-assistance systems (ADAS). You will be responsible for analyzing complex diagnostic trouble codes, interpreting vehicle data streams, and recommending effective repair strategies. This position requires exceptional problem-solving skills and the ability to research and troubleshoot difficult automotive issues. The Senior Automotive Diagnostic Specialist will also contribute to knowledge base development, creating detailed technical articles, diagnostic procedures, and training materials for technicians. You will serve as a Tier 3 support resource, tackling the most challenging cases escalated from lower support tiers. A strong understanding of automotive electrical systems, CAN bus communication, and diagnostic scan tools is essential. Experience with OEM diagnostic software and procedures is highly desirable. - ASE certifications (Master Technician preferred) or equivalent industry experience.
- 7+ years of experience in automotive diagnostics and repair.
- In-depth knowledge of modern vehicle electronic systems, engine management, CAN bus, and ADAS.
- Proficiency with various OEM diagnostic scan tools and software.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to explain complex technical concepts clearly.
- Experience in creating technical documentation and training materials.
- Ability to work independently and manage time effectively in a remote environment.
- Familiarity with automotive repair shop management systems is a plus.
