You will also be responsible for selecting appropriate materials and components, considering factors such as durability, cost, and manufacturability. Collaborating closely with manufacturing, R&D, and project management teams to ensure seamless product development and integration is key.
Troubleshooting design issues, identifying root causes, and implementing effective solutions will be a regular part of your role. You will also contribute to the development and maintenance of design standards, best practices, and documentation. Staying current with the latest advancements in mechanical engineering, CAD technologies, and relevant industry standards is vital. Presenting design concepts, proposals, and results to stakeholders and management will also be required.
