You will lead design teams, guide projects from conception through completion, and ensure that designs meet client needs while adhering to sustainability principles and building codes. The ideal candidate will possess a strong portfolio showcasing expertise in sustainable architecture, proficiency in leading-edge design software, and exceptional communication skills for remote collaboration. - Lead the conceptualization and development of architectural designs for a variety of projects, with a focus on sustainability and green building principles.

- Develop detailed architectural plans, elevations, sections, and 3D models using industry-standard software.
- Ensure all designs comply with relevant building codes, zoning regulations, and sustainability standards (e.g., LEED, BREEAM).
- Research and integrate innovative sustainable materials, technologies, and construction methods into designs.
- Prepare presentations, visualizations, and documentation for client meetings and project reviews.
- Coordinate with engineers (structural, mechanical, electrical) and other consultants to ensure integrated design solutions.
- Oversee the preparation of construction documents and assist in the bidding and construction administration phases.
- Conduct site visits (where feasible/necessary, potentially remote site assessment tools) and feasibility studies.
- Stay abreast of the latest trends and advancements in architectural design and sustainable construction.
Qualifications:
- Master's degree in Architecture from an accredited institution.
- Professional license to practice architecture in Kenya (or eligibility for reciprocal registration).
- Minimum of 8 years of experience in architectural design, with a significant focus on sustainable and environmentally conscious projects.
- Demonstrated expertise in sustainable design principles and certification systems (LEED AP, etc.).
- Proficiency in advanced architectural design software such as Revit, AutoCAD, SketchUp, Rhino, and rendering programs (e.g., V-Ray, Lumion).
- Strong portfolio showcasing a range of successfully completed sustainable architectural projects.
- Excellent leadership, team management, and interpersonal skills.
- Exceptional graphic presentation and communication skills, with the ability to articulate design concepts clearly.
- Experience in managing project timelines and budgets.
- Ability to work effectively in a remote, collaborative team environment.
