This role will primarily focus on employee relations, ensuring a positive and productive work environment. You will provide support and guidance to employees and management on HR policies and procedures, assist in conflict resolution, and contribute to the development and implementation of HR initiatives. - Assist with benefits administration and employee engagement initiatives.
- Promote a positive and supportive work culture through proactive engagement with employees.
- Stay current with employment law and HR best practices to ensure compliance and provide strategic advice.
- Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, Psychology, or a related field.
- Minimum of 4 years of experience in a generalist HR role, with a strong emphasis on employee relations.
- Comprehensive knowledge of HR principles, practices, and labor laws.
- Experience in conducting workplace investigations and mediating disputes.
- Excellent communication, listening, and interpersonal skills.
- Strong problem-solving and decision-making abilities.
- Proficiency in HRIS systems and Microsoft Office Suite.
- Ability to handle sensitive information with discretion and maintain confidentiality.
- Demonstrated ability to work independently and manage workload effectively in a remote setting.
- Professional HR certification (e.g., SHRM-CP, HRCI PHR) is a plus.
- This is a remote-first position, allowing you to contribute your HR expertise from anywhere. The role's administrative base is Kitale, Trans-Nzoia, KE , but all duties are performed remotely.
