Our client is seeking a creative and highly organized Remote Event Planner & Coordinator to manage the planning and execution of virtual and hybrid events. This is a fully remote contractor position, offering flexibility to design and deliver memorable experiences from any location. You will be responsible for all aspects of event planning, including concept development, vendor management, budget control, marketing coordination, and on-site (or virtual platform) execution. The ideal candidate is a master multitasker with exceptional communication and negotiation skills, capable of bringing imaginative event concepts to life.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Collaborating with stakeholders to define event goals, themes, and scope for virtual, hybrid, and potentially in-person events.
  • Developing detailed event plans, including timelines, budgets, and resource allocation.
  • Sourcing and managing relationships with event vendors, venues, and suppliers.
  • Negotiating contracts and ensuring favorable terms.
  • Developing and executing event marketing and promotional strategies.
  • Managing event registration, ticketing, and attendee communications.
  • Overseeing virtual event platforms, ensuring seamless technical execution and attendee engagement.
  • Coordinating on-site logistics for any in-person components, if applicable.

The ideal candidate will have a Bachelor's degree in Hospitality Management, Marketing, Communications, or a related field, or equivalent experience. A minimum of 3-5 years of experience in event planning and management is required, with a strong portfolio showcasing successful event execution. Experience with virtual event platforms (e.g., Zoom, Hopin, Bizzabo) is essential. Excellent organizational, project management, and time management skills are critical. Strong negotiation, interpersonal, and communication skills are necessary. As this is a remote role, candidates must be self-disciplined, proactive, and capable of working independently while coordinating effectively with remote and on-site teams.
