Key Responsibilities:
- Analyze and evaluate existing compensation structures, including base pay, variable pay, and incentive programs.
- Conduct market research and benchmarking studies to ensure competitive salary ranges and benefits packages.
- Develop and maintain job descriptions and salary grades.
- Administer employee benefits programs, including health insurance, retirement plans, and wellness initiatives.
- Ensure compliance with all relevant federal and local labor laws and regulations related to compensation and benefits.
- Process payroll information accurately and in a timely manner, in coordination with the finance department.
- Manage vendor relationships for benefits providers and compensation survey firms.
- Provide guidance and support to employees and managers on compensation and benefits-related inquiries.
- Assist in the development and delivery of communication materials related to compensation and benefits programs.
- Participate in the annual salary review and bonus cycle process.
- Identify opportunities for process improvements and efficiencies within the compensation and benefits function.
- Maintain accurate and confidential employee data in HRIS systems.
The ideal candidate will possess a Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field, with at least 5 years of progressive experience in compensation and benefits administration. Strong analytical skills, a keen eye for detail, and proficiency in HRIS and compensation management software are essential. Excellent communication, interpersonal, and problem-solving skills are required. You will collaborate with HR and finance teams to develop annual compensation budgets and forecasts, and provide guidance to managers on compensation-related matters. This role requires exceptional analytical skills, attention to detail, and the ability to manage sensitive employee data with discretion.
Key responsibilities include conducting regular market analysis to ensure our client's compensation packages are competitive, developing and communicating total rewards statements, and administering leave policies and other benefits programs. You will also be involved in process improvements for HR systems related to compensation and benefits, and participate in special projects as assigned. A proactive approach to identifying and resolving C&B issues is essential.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Finance, Economics, or a related field.
- Minimum of 4 years of experience in compensation and benefits administration.
- In-depth knowledge of compensation principles, market analysis, and benefits administration.
- Proficiency in HRIS and C&B software.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with a high degree of accuracy.
- Excellent communication and presentation skills.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines in a remote setting.
- Understanding of relevant Kenyan labor laws and regulations.
