Our client is a leading manufacturing and industrial conglomerate seeking a highly experienced Principal Industrial Engineer to drive process optimization and operational efficiency across its global facilities, operating entirely remotely. This senior role requires a strategic thinker with a deep understanding of industrial engineering principles, lean manufacturing, Six Sigma, and advanced data analytics. You will be instrumental in identifying and implementing improvements in production processes, workflow, and system design to enhance productivity, reduce costs, and improve quality.

- Lead the analysis, design, and implementation of optimized industrial processes and systems for global manufacturing operations.
- Apply advanced industrial engineering methodologies, including Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma, and Theory of Constraints, to identify and eliminate waste and inefficiencies.
- Develop and implement strategies for improving production flow, material handling, and workstation design.
- Conduct time and motion studies, ergonomic assessments, and workflow analyses to enhance productivity and safety.
- Utilize data analytics and simulation tools to model process improvements and predict outcomes.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including engineering, production, quality, and management, to implement change initiatives.
- Develop and maintain process documentation, standard operating procedures (SOPs), and training materials.
- Oversee the implementation of new technologies and automation solutions within the production environment.
- Mentor and guide junior engineers, providing technical expertise and leadership.
- Ensure adherence to quality standards and regulatory requirements in all process designs.
- Track and report on key performance indicators (KPIs) related to productivity, efficiency, cost savings, and quality improvements.
- Stay current with emerging trends and technologies in industrial engineering and manufacturing.
- Master's degree in Industrial Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related field. A Ph.D. is a plus.
- Minimum of 10 years of progressive experience in industrial engineering, with a significant focus on process optimization and manufacturing operations.
- Proven track record of successfully leading and implementing large-scale process improvement projects.
- Expertise in Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma (Green Belt or Black Belt certification highly preferred), and statistical process control (SPC).
- Proficiency in CAD software, simulation tools (e.g., Arena, AnyLogic), and data analysis software (e.g., Minitab, R, Python).
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and critical thinking skills.
- Exceptional leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to influence stakeholders at all levels.
- Ability to work independently, manage complex projects, and deliver results in a remote setting.
- Strong project management skills.
