This senior role will be instrumental in guiding geological exploration, resource estimation, and mine planning efforts. You will be responsible for developing and implementing advanced geological models, interpreting complex geophysical and geochemical data, and advising on the potential for mineral discoveries and resource extraction. The ideal candidate will possess an extensive understanding of various geological disciplines, including structural geology, economic geology, and sedimentary or igneous petrology, applied to mining contexts. Expertise in 3D geological modeling software (e.g., Leapfrog, Micromine, Datamine) and GIS is essential. You will lead geological teams, mentor junior geologists, and collaborate closely with mine engineers, metallurgists, and environmental scientists to ensure efficient and responsible resource development. Key responsibilities include the design and supervision of exploration drilling programs, the validation of resource and reserve estimates according to international standards (e.g., JORC, NI 43-101), and contributing to strategic mine development plans.
