Job Description
You will develop and implement innovative strategies to streamline operations, reduce lead times, minimize costs, and improve customer satisfaction. This includes leveraging technology and best practices to optimize warehouse layouts, inventory levels, fleet management, and freight consolidation. Collaboration with internal teams, external partners, and carriers will be essential to ensure seamless integration and execution of supply chain strategies. The Logistics and Supply Chain Optimization Manager will also be responsible for performance tracking, reporting on key metrics, and staying informed about industry trends and emerging technologies that can enhance supply chain resilience and agility. Strong leadership, project management, and excellent communication skills are necessary for this role.
Responsibilities:
- Analyze and optimize all aspects of the logistics and supply chain network, including warehousing, transportation, and inventory management.
- Develop and implement strategies to reduce costs, improve efficiency, and enhance service levels.
- Identify and mitigate supply chain risks and disruptions.
- Manage relationships with third-party logistics providers (3PLs) and carriers.
- Utilize data analytics and performance metrics to monitor supply chain effectiveness and identify areas for improvement.
- Implement best practices in inventory control, demand forecasting, and order fulfillment.
- Evaluate and recommend new technologies and solutions to improve supply chain operations.
- Lead cross-functional projects to drive supply chain innovation and continuous improvement.
- Ensure compliance with relevant regulations and industry standards.
- Develop and deliver regular reports on supply chain performance to senior management.
- Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Business Administration, or a related field.
- Minimum of 6 years of experience in logistics, supply chain management, or operations.
- Proven track record of successfully optimizing supply chain operations and achieving cost savings.
- In-depth knowledge of transportation, warehousing, inventory management, and procurement processes.
- Proficiency in supply chain planning and optimization software (e.g., WMS, TMS, ERP systems).
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
- Excellent project management and leadership abilities.
- Exceptional communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities effectively in a remote setting.
- Experience with Lean or Six Sigma methodologies is a plus.
