Job Description
Responsibilities:
- Define and document the high-level electrical system architecture, including power distribution, control systems, and sensor integration.
- Lead the design and development of complex electrical subsystems, ensuring they meet performance, cost, and schedule targets.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including software engineers, mechanical engineers, and product managers, to integrate electrical systems seamlessly.
- Develop and enforce electrical design standards, best practices, and validation methodologies.
- Perform detailed electrical design reviews, identify potential risks, and propose mitigation strategies.
- Mentor and guide junior electrical engineers, fostering a culture of technical excellence and innovation.
- Stay current with emerging technologies and industry trends in electrical engineering and power systems.
- Oversee the prototyping, testing, and validation of electrical designs.
- Troubleshoot and resolve complex electrical issues encountered during product development and manufacturing.
- Contribute to strategic planning for future electrical system roadmaps.
- Ensure compliance with relevant safety regulations and international standards.
Qualifications:
- Master's degree in Electrical Engineering or a related field. A Ph.D. is a strong advantage.
- Minimum of 10 years of hands-on experience in electrical system design and architecture.
- Demonstrated expertise in power electronics, control systems, embedded systems, and signal integrity.
- Proven experience in leading architectural design for complex electronic systems.
- Strong understanding of analog and digital circuit design, PCB layout principles, and EMI/EMC considerations.
- Experience with simulation tools such as SPICE, MATLAB/Simulink, or Altium Designer.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Exceptional communication and leadership abilities, with experience managing technical teams remotely.
- Ability to articulate complex technical concepts to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
- Familiarity with agile development methodologies.
- Previous experience in a fully remote capacity is highly desirable.

- Conduct thorough design reviews, risk assessments, and failure mode and effects analyses (FMEAs).
- Develop and implement testing strategies for electrical components and systems, including verification and validation protocols.
- Troubleshoot and resolve complex electrical design issues that arise during development and production.
- Stay current with emerging electrical engineering technologies, standards, and best practices.
- Mentor and guide junior electrical engineers, fostering technical growth and adherence to design principles.
- Ensure compliance with industry regulations and standards (e.g., IEC, IEEE).
- Contribute to the strategic planning of future electrical system roadmaps and technology adoption.
- Master's or Ph.D. in Electrical Engineering or a closely related field.
- Minimum of 12 years of experience in electrical system design, architecture, and development.
- Proven track record of leading complex electrical engineering projects from concept to completion.
- Expertise in power electronics, analog and digital circuit design, and embedded systems.
- Proficiency with EDA tools (e.g., Altium Designer, Cadence, PSpice).
- Strong understanding of system-level design, integration, and testing methodologies.
- Experience with control systems, microcontrollers, and firmware development is highly desirable.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with a strong attention to detail.
- Exceptional communication and collaboration skills, particularly in a remote team environment.
- Demonstrated ability to lead and mentor engineering teams.
