This role involves leading the design, development, and implementation of complex electrical power systems for various industrial and commercial projects. The successful candidate will be responsible for overseeing projects from conceptualization to completion, ensuring adherence to industry standards, safety regulations, and client specifications. Responsibilities include developing detailed electrical schematics, single-line diagrams, control systems, and load calculations. You will also conduct power system analysis, fault studies, and protection coordination. This position requires a strong understanding of power generation, transmission, distribution, and associated equipment.
Key duties involve managing a team of electrical engineers and technicians, mentoring junior staff, and coordinating with cross-functional teams, including civil, mechanical, and project management departments. The Lead Electrical Engineer will also be responsible for client interactions, proposal development, and ensuring project profitability. Experience with power system simulation software (e.g., ETAP, PSS/E) and CAD tools is essential. The ideal candidate will possess exceptional leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills, with a proven ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines effectively. This role requires a Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or a related field, with a professional engineering license (PE) being a significant advantage. The ability to travel occasionally for site inspections and client meetings may be required.
