Key Responsibilities:
  • Lead the electrical design of power systems from concept to production.
  • Develop detailed electrical schematics, single-line diagrams, and wiring harnesses.
  • Perform power system analysis, including load flow, fault analysis, and stability studies.
  • Select appropriate electrical components, including transformers, switchgear, protection devices, and cables.
  • Ensure designs comply with relevant industry standards (e.g., IEC, IEEE) and safety regulations.
  • Mentor and guide junior electrical engineers.
  • Collaborate with other engineering disciplines to ensure system integration.
  • Develop and maintain design documentation, including Bill of Materials (BOM) and test procedures.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve electrical design issues during testing and commissioning.
  • Research and recommend new technologies and methodologies to improve power system efficiency and reliability.
Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Electrical Engineering or a related field.
  • Minimum of 8 years of experience in electrical power systems design.
  • Proven experience leading engineering projects and teams.
  • Expertise in power electronics, AC/DC converters, and motor drives.
  • Proficiency in power system simulation software (e.g., ETAP, PSS/E, PSCAD).
  • Strong understanding of grid codes and interconnection standards.
  • Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
  • Ability to communicate technical information effectively to diverse audiences.
  • Experience with embedded systems and microcontrollers is a plus.
  • Familiarity with renewable energy integration (solar, wind) is highly desirable.
