Our client, a rapidly expanding player in the aviation sector, is seeking an accomplished Lead Aviation Safety & Compliance Officer to join our dedicated team. This position is fully remote, empowering you to manage safety protocols and compliance initiatives from your preferred location. You will be responsible for developing, implementing, and maintaining robust safety management systems (SMS) and ensuring adherence to all national and international aviation regulations.

- Develop, implement, and manage the company's Safety Management System (SMS) in accordance with ICAO Annex 19 and other relevant regulations.
- Oversee all aspects of aviation safety assurance and risk management programs.
- Conduct regular safety audits, inspections, and hazard assessments across all operational areas.
- Investigate aviation safety incidents and occurrences, determining root causes and implementing corrective actions.
- Develop and deliver comprehensive safety training programs for flight crew, ground staff, and management.
- Ensure compliance with all applicable aviation authorities' regulations (e.g., KCAA, EASA, FAA).
- Maintain all safety-related documentation, records, and reports.
- Liaise with regulatory bodies and industry stakeholders on safety matters.
- Promote a strong safety culture throughout the organization.
- Advise management on safety policy and strategy.
- Stay abreast of the latest safety trends, technologies, and regulatory changes in the aviation industry.
- Bachelor's degree in Aviation Management, Aerospace Engineering, or a related field. Advanced degrees or specialized certifications are highly desirable.
- Minimum of 10 years of experience in aviation safety, compliance, or quality assurance, with a significant portion in leadership roles.
- In-depth knowledge of ICAO standards, Annex 19, and relevant national aviation regulations.
- Proven experience in developing and implementing Safety Management Systems (SMS).
- Strong understanding of risk assessment methodologies and accident/incident investigation techniques.
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
- Exceptional communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to influence stakeholders at all levels.
- Proficiency in safety management software and data analysis tools.
- Ability to work independently and manage complex projects in a remote environment.
- Experience as a pilot, air traffic controller, or aviation maintenance engineer is a significant advantage.
- Certified Safety Manager (CSM) or equivalent certification is preferred.
