Key responsibilities will include:
- Leading the design and development of embedded software for automotive control units, infotainment systems, ADAS (Advanced Driver-Assistance Systems), and other vehicle functions.
- Defining software architecture, modules, interfaces, and data flows, ensuring scalability and maintainability.
- Guiding and mentoring a team of software engineers, fostering a collaborative and high-performing environment.
- Developing and implementing software development processes, including code reviews, unit testing, and integration testing.
- Writing efficient, well-documented, and maintainable code in C/C++ and other relevant programming languages.
- Working with real-time operating systems (RTOS) and ensuring optimal performance and resource utilization.
- Integrating software components with hardware and ensuring seamless system operation.
- Developing and executing test plans to validate software functionality and performance.
- Debugging and troubleshooting complex software issues across the entire vehicle system.
- Collaborating with hardware engineers, system engineers, and product managers to define requirements and ensure successful product launches.
- Staying abreast of the latest advancements in automotive technology, software development practices, and industry standards (e.g., AUTOSAR, ISO 26262).
- Managing software project timelines and deliverables, ensuring on-time and within-budget execution.
- Contributing to the strategic direction of automotive software development within the company.
- Ensuring adherence to functional safety (ISO 26262) and cybersecurity requirements.
- Participating in architectural reviews and design discussions.
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field.
- Minimum of 8 years of experience in automotive software development, with at least 3 years in a lead or senior role.
- Extensive experience with embedded C/C++ programming.
- Strong understanding of automotive software architectures, RTOS, and communication protocols (e.g., CAN, LIN, Ethernet).
- Experience with AUTOSAR is highly desirable.
- Knowledge of functional safety standards (ISO 26262) and cybersecurity principles in automotive applications.
- Proficiency in software development tools, debugging techniques, and version control systems (e.g., Git).
- Excellent leadership, team management, and interpersonal skills.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities, with a meticulous attention to detail.
- Ability to work independently and effectively manage tasks in a remote setting.
- Experience with Agile development methodologies.
