Job Description
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead the architecture, design, and development of automotive embedded systems, including ECUs, sensors, and actuators.
- Define hardware and software requirements, specifications, and technical designs.
- Oversee the C/C++ software development lifecycle, ensuring adherence to coding standards, best practices, and real-time performance requirements.
- Implement and manage real-time operating systems (RTOS) for embedded applications.
- Ensure compliance with automotive functional safety standards (ISO 26262) throughout the development process.
- Develop and execute comprehensive verification and validation plans, including unit testing, integration testing, and system testing.
- Collaborate with hardware engineers to define hardware/software interfaces and ensure seamless integration.
- Troubleshoot and debug complex embedded system issues across hardware and software.
- Mentor and guide junior embedded systems engineers, fostering technical growth and team collaboration.
- Manage project timelines, resources, and deliverables, ensuring projects are completed on time and within budget.
- Liaise with suppliers and partners for component selection and integration.
- Stay abreast of emerging automotive technologies, trends, and industry standards.
- Conduct design reviews and code reviews to ensure quality and robustness.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field.
- Minimum of 7 years of experience in automotive embedded systems development.
- Proven experience leading embedded systems engineering teams and projects.
- Deep expertise in C/C++ programming for embedded systems.
- Strong understanding and practical application of real-time operating systems (RTOS).
- In-depth knowledge of automotive communication protocols (e.g., CAN, LIN, Automotive Ethernet).
- Experience with functional safety standards (ISO 26262) and safety-critical systems development.
- Proficiency with embedded development tools, compilers, debuggers, and oscilloscopes.
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and debugging skills.
- Strong leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills, critical for remote team management.
