Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement comprehensive agronomic strategies focused on sustainable and regenerative agriculture.

- Analyze crop performance data, soil samples, and environmental conditions to identify areas for improvement and make data-driven recommendations.
- Research and evaluate new agricultural technologies, techniques, and crop varieties suitable for sustainable production.
- Develop and deliver training materials and workshops (virtual) on best agronomic practices for field staff and farmers.
- Collaborate with research institutions and technology providers to explore innovative solutions.
- Monitor agricultural trends, market demands, and regulatory changes impacting sustainable agriculture.
- Advise on crop rotation planning, intercropping systems, and cover cropping strategies.
- Contribute to the development of organic certification processes and compliance protocols.
- Assist in troubleshooting and resolving agronomic challenges faced by farmers.
- Document findings, best practices, and project outcomes for internal and external dissemination.
Qualifications:
- Master's or Ph.D. in Agronomy, Soil Science, Crop Science, or a related agricultural field.
- Minimum of 7 years of progressive experience in agronomy, with a strong emphasis on sustainable or organic farming systems.
- Proven expertise in crop physiology, soil chemistry, and integrated pest management (IPM).
- Experience with remote sensing technologies, GIS, and data analysis tools for agricultural applications.
- Strong understanding of climate-smart agriculture and conservation practices.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to interpret complex data sets.
- Demonstrated ability to develop and deliver effective training programs.
- Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build rapport and provide guidance remotely.
- Self-motivated and able to work independently with minimal supervision in a remote setting.
- Fluency in English and at least one local Kenyan language is advantageous.
- Published research or contributions to the field of sustainable agriculture are a plus.
