Our client is searching for a visionary and highly skilled Head Chef to lead their innovative virtual events and catering division. This is a unique, fully remote opportunity for a culinary expert to design, develop, and execute exceptional dining experiences delivered directly to clients' homes or offices. You will be responsible for creating a diverse and exciting menu that travels well, developing creative meal kits, and ensuring the highest standards of food quality and presentation, all managed from a remote location. The ideal candidate is passionate about food, adept at menu engineering, and possesses a strong understanding of logistics and food safety protocols relevant to remote food preparation and delivery.

Responsibilities:
  • Conceptualize, develop, and refine innovative menus for virtual dining events, catering packages, and meal kit services, focusing on high-quality ingredients and broad appeal.
  • Oversee all aspects of culinary operations, including recipe development, costing, portion control, and quality assurance, remotely.
  • Collaborate closely with the events and marketing teams to align culinary offerings with client needs and branding.
  • Manage relationships with food suppliers to ensure the sourcing of fresh, high-quality ingredients at competitive prices.
  • Develop and implement strict food safety and sanitation procedures in compliance with all relevant regulations, ensuring consistent application across partner preparation facilities.
  • Train and manage kitchen staff (remotely where applicable) and external culinary partners, ensuring adherence to recipes and standards.
  • Monitor food costs and implement strategies to maintain profitability while upholding quality.

Qualifications:
  • Culinary degree or equivalent professional training from a reputable institution.
  • Minimum of 5 years of progressive experience in professional kitchens, with at least 2 years in a Head Chef or Executive Sous Chef role, preferably with experience in catering or high-volume production.
  • Demonstrated expertise in menu development, food costing, and inventory management.
  • Strong knowledge of food safety regulations (e.g., HACCP) and best practices.
  • Excellent leadership, communication, and organizational skills, with the ability to manage remote teams and operations effectively.
  • Creative flair and a passion for delivering exceptional culinary experiences.
  • Experience with virtual events or meal kit services is highly desirable.
  • Ability to adapt quickly to changing demands and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
