Our client is seeking a talented and experienced Head Chef and Catering Operations Manager to lead their culinary division. This is a fully remote position, requiring exceptional leadership, organizational, and menu development skills. You will be responsible for conceptualizing, planning, and executing high-quality catering services for a diverse range of events and clients. The ideal candidate will have a strong culinary background, extensive experience in menu design, food costing, and kitchen management. You must also possess strong operational management skills, with the ability to coordinate logistics, manage staff, and ensure seamless service delivery from a remote standpoint. Key responsibilities include developing innovative and appealing menus, sourcing high-quality ingredients, managing food budgets, and ensuring adherence to strict food safety and hygiene standards. You will also oversee the procurement of kitchen equipment and supplies, manage relationships with vendors, and lead a team of culinary professionals and service staff. This role requires creativity, meticulous attention to detail, and the ability to thrive under pressure. Excellent communication, leadership, and problem-solving skills are essential. A culinary degree or equivalent professional qualification is required, along with substantial experience as a Head Chef and in catering management. Proven ability in menu planning, costing, and inventory management. Strong understanding of food safety regulations (HACCP, etc.). Experience in managing teams and operations remotely. Excellent organizational and time management skills. Ability to adapt to diverse client needs and event requirements.
