The role involves providing technical guidance and support to farmers, promoting innovative agricultural techniques, and contributing to the development of environmentally sound farming systems.

- Prepare detailed reports on field observations, research findings, and recommendations for farmers and stakeholders.
- Collaborate with agricultural researchers, extension officers, and supply chain partners.
- Promote biodiversity and conservation efforts within agricultural landscapes.
- Assist in the development of educational materials and online resources for farmers.
- Offer consultations on irrigation systems and water conservation techniques.
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Agronomy, Crop Science, Agriculture, or a related field.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in agronomy or agricultural extension, with a strong emphasis on sustainable practices.
- Proven ability to conduct field research and interpret data.
- Expertise in soil science, plant pathology, entomology, and crop physiology.
- Excellent understanding of organic farming principles and integrated pest management (IPM).
- Strong remote communication and presentation skills, with the ability to convey technical information clearly.
- Proficiency in using agricultural software and data analysis tools.
- Experience in developing and delivering training programs.
- A passion for promoting environmentally friendly and economically viable farming solutions.
- Familiarity with the challenges and opportunities in Kenyan agriculture is a plus.
- Ability to work independently and manage time effectively in a remote setting.
