Responsibilities:
- Provide remote expert-level diagnostic support to field service technicians, guiding them through complex vehicle troubleshooting procedures.
- Analyze vehicle diagnostic data, sensor readings, and performance logs to identify root causes of malfunctions and performance issues.
- Develop and refine diagnostic strategies and workflows for a wide range of vehicle makes and models.
- Collaborate with the software development team to improve diagnostic tools, algorithms, and user interfaces based on real-world findings.
- Create technical documentation, repair guides, and training materials for diagnostic procedures.
- Research and stay updated on the latest automotive technologies, including EV powertrains, advanced driver-assistance systems (ADAS), and vehicle networking protocols.
- Contribute to the performance tuning aspects by analyzing engine parameters and recommending software adjustments.
- Manage and maintain a knowledge base of common issues and their resolutions.
- Participate in virtual quality assurance testing of new diagnostic software releases.
- Advise on the development and implementation of new diagnostic hardware and equipment.
- ASE Certifications (Master Technician L1, L2, L3 highly preferred).
- Minimum of 8 years of hands-on experience as an automotive technician, with a strong specialization in diagnostics and electronics.
- Extensive knowledge of internal combustion engines, hybrid and electric vehicle systems, and ADAS technologies.
- Proficiency with advanced diagnostic scan tools, oscilloscopes, multimeters, and other electronic testing equipment.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to interpret complex data and technical schematics.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to clearly explain technical issues and solutions remotely.
- Experience with automotive networking protocols (CAN, LIN, Ethernet).
- Familiarity with vehicle performance tuning concepts and software is a significant advantage.
- Ability to work independently, manage time effectively, and maintain high productivity in a remote work environment.
