You'll be joining a global team with offices located in Nairobi. Cigna are now primarily following a hybrid work model with Production Support teams located in America, Europe, India & Malaysia.
**Role**
+ The Technical Support Analyst will join our production support team responsible for supporting a portfolio of applications, databases and services. Responsible for the oversight of day-to-day activities of the production and lower environments.
+ The Production Support team provides several services for International Health (IH) including: Application Support, 24/7 Production Support, Monitoring, batch support and optimisation, defect identification and remediation, Configuration updates, data fixes, ad-hoc reporting requests, Incident Management, Release Management, Change Management and collaborate across multiple interconnected teams to provide quick resolution to customer impacting incidents.
+ The successful candidate must have an appetite to own the day-to-day delivery against Service Level Agreements (SLA) and provide a high level of customer satisfaction. The motivation to drive change towards modernisation and automation across the team's processes and practices.
+ The role will be responsible for working with business and IT Partners across the company to manage the services and provide technical support to the IT and business teams.
+ The primary focus of this role will be working with an IH Production Support teams and primarily focussed on the support of the Actisure (Cegedim) application which provides policy administration services.
+ Must be comfortable dealing with IT control processes for the applications and supporting the production release process.
+ This role requires a good balance between providing technical guidance/ analysis, resolving technical and data related tasks, and ensuing solution(s) align with Cigna best practices ways of working to exceed SLAs.
+ Working with our development teams closely understanding and managing the release process. Following and improving our governance processes.
**Candidate profile**
+ Cigna is specifically looking for a dynamic, Technical Support Analyst with strong experience of **SQL server and scripting and Java knowledge.** An IT professional with strong skills in Service Delivery, Application Management & Support processes.
+ Insurance or financial services background would be a strong advantage.
+ Integrated applications - understand where application sits in wider Architecture
+ Must have confidence to quickly learn the technical and functional aspects of a complex service.
+ Ability to communicate with technical and operations (non-technical) team member
+ Diploma or degree in Computer Science, IT or related field.

Job Title: QA and Maintenance Engineer Reports to: Technology Lead / Country Operations ManagerCollaborates with: Tech Lead, Partner Account Manager, Finance, LegalLocation: Nairobi (with remote support to field offices and occasional travel)Overview The QA and Maintenance Engineer is responsible for ensuring the quality, reliability, and operational continuity of our client digital platforms and internal systems. This role focuses on testing, system maintenance, and incident resolution, ensuring that software releases are stable, tools are functioning optimally, and issues are quickly addressed. The engineer plays a critical role in maintaining our client standards as it scales operations in factoring, traceability, and vaccine delivery.Key Responsibilities 1. Quality Assurance & Platform Testing ● Design and execute test plans for web and mobile applications before deployment.● Identify, document, and track bugs across all digital tools.● Coordinate with the Head of Tech and Tech Consultants to ensure timely fixes and improvements.● Ensure regression testing is performed before each release.2. Maintenance of Systems & Devices ● Conduct regular audits of system performance (e.g., dashboards, apps, hardware tools like tags).● Support scheduled maintenance activities including patches, updates, and bug fixes.● Ensure mobile devices, tags, and other field tech are functioning and updated.3. IT Support & Issue Resolution ● Adopt the organization ticketing system to track and resolve tech issues.● Provide technical support during onboarding or system deployments.● Coordinate remote troubleshooting with field teams and end users.4. Data Integrity, Backup & Compliance ● Support data recovery testing and automated backups of operational systems.● Conduct regular checks for data anomalies or risks.● Ensure systems are aligned with Kenya’s Data Protection Act and internal IT policies.5. Vendor, Tool & SLA Monitoring ● Support procurement of QA tools and testing software where needed.● Track vendor performance and escalate service issues as needed.● Ensure external tech tools used meet uptime and usability standards.6. Collaboration with Tech & Product Teams ● Work closely with the engineering team during sprints to ensure code quality.● Test and support the deployment of partner-facing platforms (e.g., Zhulia, Shephard).● Assist in performance monitoring of platforms in real-world field conditions.RequirementsRequirements – QA and Maintenance Engineer ● A minimum of a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Software Engineering, or a related field.● At least three (3) years of hands-on experience in quality assurance, system maintenance, software testing, or IT support, preferably in a technology-driven or field-based environment.● Proficiency in creating and executing manual and automated test plans, identifying bugs, and performing regression testing. Familiarity with tools such as Selenium, Postman, or JIRA is a plus.● Demonstrated ability to conduct system audits, manage updates/patches, support mobile and hardware tools, and resolve technical issues both remotely and on-site.● Knowledge of data integrity practices, backup procedures, and alignment with regulatory frameworks like Kenya’s Data Protection Act; ability to ensure system and data compliance with internal policies.
