  • Perform cost optimization analysis and implement strategies to reduce cloud expenditure.
  • Develop and maintain detailed architectural documentation, including diagrams, configurations, and operational runbooks.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve complex cloud infrastructure issues in a remote environment.
  • Stay current with emerging cloud technologies and trends, and evaluate their potential application.
  • Mentor junior architects and engineers, fostering knowledge sharing and skill development within the team.
  • Conduct performance tuning and capacity planning for cloud environments.
Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field; Master's degree preferred.
  • Minimum of 8 years of experience in IT infrastructure and systems engineering, with at least 5 years focused specifically on cloud architecture.
  • Extensive hands-on experience with public cloud platforms such as AWS (e.g., EC2, S3, VPC, Lambda), Azure (e.g., VMs, Blob Storage, VNet), or GCP.
  • Proficiency in IaC tools like Terraform or CloudFormation.
  • Strong understanding of containerization technologies (Docker, Kubernetes).
  • Demonstrated experience with CI/CD tools and methodologies.
  • Excellent problem-solving, analytical, and communication skills.
  • Ability to work autonomously and manage multiple projects in a remote setting.
  • Relevant cloud certifications (e.g., AWS Certified Solutions Architect - Professional, Azure Solutions Architect Expert, Google Professional Cloud Architect) are highly desirable.
  • Experience working with clients in the **Garissa, Garissa, KE** region or similar developing economies is a plus, demonstrating adaptability to diverse market needs.
