This role supports projects that may be located in or around **Kakamega, Kakamega, KE**, but the work is conducted entirely remotely. Responsibilities:
  • Leading geotechnical and structural design for infrastructure projects.
  • Performing detailed soil analysis, foundation design, and seismic assessments.
  • Conducting structural analysis and designing load-bearing elements.
  • Developing engineering drawings, specifications, and technical reports.
  • Overseeing the creation of site investigation plans and interpretation of results.
  • Ensuring compliance with building codes, safety regulations, and environmental standards.
  • Managing project budgets, schedules, and resource allocation.
  • Mentoring and providing technical guidance to junior engineers.
  • Collaborating with clients, project managers, and construction teams.
Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Civil Engineering with a specialization in Geotechnical or Structural Engineering.
  • Professional Engineer (PE) license or equivalent professional registration.
  • Minimum of 7-10 years of relevant experience in geotechnical and structural design.
  • Proficiency in geotechnical software (e.g., GeoStudio, PLAXIS) and structural analysis software (e.g., ETABS, SAP2000).
  • Strong understanding of construction materials and practices.
  • Excellent leadership, project management, and communication skills for remote collaboration.
  • Experience in proposal development and client liaison.
