We are seeking to recruit Security Officers to join our team of frontline staff. We are seeking individuals of high

integrity who are physically fit. Besides these attributes the candidates MUST in addition meet the requirements

stated below:-

• Have attained the Kenya Certificate of Secondary Education or its equivalent with a minimum of grade of D+
• Be literate with ability of reading, writing and understanding printed regulations, detailed assignment

instructions, training instructions and be able to compose reports that convey complete information

• Basic skills in computer literacy
• Must Have a Valid Email Address
• Be able to demonstrate that he/she has no past criminal record
• Be physically fit and minimum height of 5'8 ft. and 5'5 for women
• Produce Original KCSE Certificate
• Produce a physical fitness certificate from a government hospital
• Be able to produce a minimum of two referees' letters from traceable referees who will be contacted as part of

our employee screening process

• Be the holder of a Kenyan National ID Card (Original)

The role holder will be responsible for managing and coordinating all security-related activities across the assigned region. This role plays a critical part in safeguarding the Bank against internal and external threats. From building strong relationships with law enforcement, to training staff on fraud prevention, to monitoring emerging risks, the Regional Security Officer ensures that the Bank remains secure, resilient, and trusted.

The role

The successful jobholder will be expected to:

• Build and maintain strong relationships with law enforcement, government offices and security regulators.
• Represent the Bank at regional forums, regulatory engagements and security-related events.
• Maintain a comprehensive stakeholder contact database to strengthen collaboration and visibility.
• Support branch managers in cultivating strong ties with local police leadership.
• Coordinate and train staff on fraud prevention, emergency procedures and incident response.
• Oversee physical security audits to ensure compliance with security SOPs.
• Monitor threats, reputational risks and criminal activities affecting the Bank.
• Partner with law enforcement and regulatory agencies to gather intelligence.
• Use digital tools and informer networks to identify and mitigate emerging risks.
• Audit outsourced security providers for effectiveness and professionalism.
• Oversee the functionality of security technologies.
• Conduct threat and vulnerability assessments and recommend improvements.
• Lead investigations into theft, fraud, threats or breaches of protocol.
• Collect evidence, prepare reports, and support legal or disciplinary action.
• Conduct physical and operational risk assessments of branches, ATMs and cash transit operations.

Qualifications, Skills & Attributes

The successful jobholder will be required to possess the following qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree.
• Must have served as an Inspector of Police or at a higher Level.
• Strong knowledge of law enforcement procedures, security risk analysis, and investigations.
• Proven experience in stakeholder management, crime prevention, and intelligence collection.
• Computer literacy
• Ability to work independently while managing a regional security portfolio.
• Those currently serving have an added advantage

Special Requirements

• Based in a Regional Office with frequent travel within the region.
• Flexibility to work outside normal hours when required.

• Develop, implement, and manage comprehensive aviation security policies and procedures.
• Ensure compliance with all relevant national and international aviation security regulations.
• Conduct regular risk assessments and vulnerability analyses of aviation operations.
• Oversee the implementation of security measures at all touchpoints of the aviation process.
• Develop and deliver security training programs for aviation personnel.
• Manage and direct the remote aviation security team, providing guidance and support.
• Liaise with regulatory agencies, law enforcement, and other stakeholders on security matters.
• Develop and manage emergency response and crisis management plans for security incidents.
• Monitor and evaluate the effectiveness of security programs and make necessary adjustments.
• Investigate security breaches and incidents, and implement corrective actions.
• Stay informed about emerging threats and trends in aviation security.
• Manage the aviation security budget and resources effectively.
• Promote a strong security culture throughout the organization.

• Bachelor's degree in Aviation Management, Security Management, Criminal Justice, or a related field; Master's degree preferred.
• Minimum of 10 years of progressive experience in aviation security management.
• Extensive knowledge of international aviation security standards and best practices (e.g., ICAO Annex 17, TSA regulations).
• Proven experience in developing and implementing security programs for large-scale aviation operations.
• Demonstrated leadership experience, particularly in managing remote teams.
• Strong analytical, risk assessment, and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work independently and make critical decisions in a remote environment.
• Experience with security technology and systems.
• Relevant security certifications (e.g., Certified Aviation Security Professional - CASP).
