Job Summary:Working closely with the Sales Director, the Channel Sales Manager will focus on selling the company products to distributors, stockists, dealers, solar companies and solar installers.
Roles and Responsibilities:
He/she should be willing to take complete ownership of channel Sales (Distributors/Dealers/Solar companies/& Solar Installers)The person should regularly meet the decision makers or owners of these platforms and sell the companys range of products to them.Should Identify Distributors/Dealers/Solar companies/& Solar Installers and appoint them as authorized distributors.Interact directly with (Distributors/Dealers/Solar companies/& Solar Installers) regarding upcoming projects for business conversion purposes and document the same in CRM SoftwareA sales manager should be willing to physically meet and travel in field at least 3-4 days a week.He/ She is expected to be in office only 2-3 days a week.Person Should be willing to travel to meet the customers wherever needed to close the sale.Should be able to generate regular flow of sales every month without fail.Should make sure monthly sales targets are met.Should update the CRM daily to maintain the hygiene of the customer database.RequirementsShould have a minimum experience of 7- 10 years in the Solar Industry. **Role Responsibilities:**
+ Execute commercial off-trade calendar management.
+ Tailor brand & portfolio activities into channel & customer programs aligned with commercial plans.
+ Contribute to trade strategy development focusing on Off-trade and wholesale segments while identifying opportunities and risks for business value delivery.
+ Develop scalable insight-driven programs for modern trade segments across customers.
+ Design customer-specific retail/segment programs aimed at boosting traffic, basket size, or conversion rates.
+ Collaborate closely with agency resources, finance, legal teams, and distributor partners.
+ Utilize data insights and possess knowledge of modern trade customers/shoppers/key segments.
+ Oversee in-store/bar programs from initial brief through toolkit development to execution support and M&E (Measurement & Evaluation).
+ Ensure commercially viable programs driving category growth beyond brand expectations are implemented effectively.
**Experience / Skills Required:**
+ +5 years proven track record in Marketing or Sales (Customer Marketing).
+ Strong creative judgment paired with solid commercial understanding of customer/shopper dynamics.
+ Deep familiarity with off-trade channels enabling brilliant shopper program development.
+ Ability to navigate Diageo's network efficiently using influence across various organizational levels-decisive action is key here!
+ Inspire agencies towards delivering exceptional work; experience working alongside key customers is advantageous.
