Your responsibilities will include overseeing the drug discovery pipeline, from target identification to lead optimization, and managing research projects to meet aggressive timelines. You will develop and implement innovative research strategies, mentor junior scientists, and collaborate with external partners and regulatory bodies. Expertise in specific therapeutic areas, such as oncology, infectious diseases, or immunology, is highly valued. Experience with modern drug discovery technologies, including high-throughput screening, structure-based drug design, and pharmacokinetics/pharmacodynamics (PK/PD) studies, is essential. You will be responsible for interpreting complex scientific data, making critical decisions, and communicating findings effectively through presentations and publications. A thorough understanding of regulatory requirements (e.g., FDA, EMA) and GMP/GLP principles is required. This role demands exceptional leadership qualities, strategic thinking, and the ability to foster a collaborative and high-performing research environment. A minimum of 7 years of progressive experience in pharmaceutical R&D is required.
