W
hat you'll be getting up to:
- Reconciliation of Payment Service Providers (PSPs) and Banks to internal operational reports
Follow up on reconciling items and escalate as appropriate, including;
Monetary losses –Deposit and Payout
- Procedural error – Deposit and Payout
Agent/3rd Party Error – credit back, charges, duplicate processed
Update relevant parties daily on identified trends e.g. unusual activity in deposits and/or withdrawals
- Review summary report of daily activity and agree to internal operation reports and escalate differences promptly
- Reporting deposits received in merchant and not credited yet in player's account.
Daily report to be sent out to other teams/merchants for confirmation:
Error confirmation
- Balance confirmation/discrepancies
No Bank record for confirmation
Prepare and update individual schedules for financial statement line items
- Maintain a proper repository for all supporting documentation
- Perform other tasks to support the team and business objectives as required

equirements:
- Experience with financial reconciliation: Proven ability to reconcile financial transactions between various sources, such as PSPs, banks, and internal reports.
- Attention to detail: Strong capability to identify and resolve discrepancies between financial reports and transactional data.
- Communication skills: Experience liaising with external and internal stakeholders to resolve issues and report trends.
- Analytical skills: Ability to analyse financial summaries and identify unusual trends or discrepancies for timely escalation.
- Report generation: Proven ability to prepare and analyse financial reports
- Documentation management: Experience maintaining organized and accessible documentation and managing access appropriately.
- Problem-solving skills: Demonstrated experience in escalating and resolving issues

Educational Background
:
Bachelor's degree in Finance, Economics, Business Administration, or a related field. A Master's degree (e.g., MBA, MSc in Finance) is preferred for deeper analytical expertise.
Professional certifications such as CFA (Chartered Financial Analyst), CPA (Certified Public Accountant), or CFP (Certified Financial Planner) are highly desirable for credibility and knowledge of investment strategies.
Experience

3-5 years of experience in financial analysis, wealth management, or investment advisory, preferably in the Kenyan or East African market. Experience working with

Familiarity with regulatory frameworks in Kenya, such as Capital Markets Authority (CMA) guidelines, to ensure AI outputs comply with local standards.

Role Summary
As a Financial Analyst, you will play a key role in conducting detailed profitability analysis, as well as supporting the financial planning, budgeting, and forecasting processes. You will work closely with Finance leaders and collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver financial insights and analytical support to drive strategic decision-making. Responsibilities:
Financial Planning & Analysis
- Assist with the company-wide budgeting and forecasting process.
- Act as a system administrator for the FP&A tool (Abacum). Manage integrations and datasets within the tool, create custom reports and spaces for functional owners, and maintain and update sophisticated models in the FP&A tool.
Gross Margin Analysis
- Own the end-to-end monthly gross margin calculation and analysis for all workstreams, ensuring accuracy and timeliness.
- Partner with cross-functional teams to ensure all workstream-related costs, including technology and cloud computing expenses, are accurately and timely tracked and allocated.
- Lead the evaluation, setup, and improvement of a new system implementation for Project Accounting.
- Conduct a detailed variance analysis of the cost of revenue and gross margin by client. Summarize and present key trends, findings, and potential risks to leadership.
- Track Sector performance against plans and targets. Support the Sector team in creating, analyzing, and recommending plans to improve Sector gross margins.
Reporting & Performance Monitoring
- Develop and maintain comprehensive reports and Tableau dashboards to track key performance indicators (KPIs), including company unit economics.
- Report on actual financial performance against quarterly targets, highlighting and analyzing key variances.
Strategic & Ad-Hoc Analysis
- Support the pricing analysis process and the creation of financial plans of records for new business proposals and expansion opportunities with existing clients. Track variance against financial plans and report key findings to the leadership team.
Create robust forward looking financial models and perform in-depth ad-hoc analyses on various business aspects to support leadership with data-driven strategic and operational decisions.
Requirements- Strong analytical mindset with significant experience in a similar role.
- Solid understanding of core Financial and Accounting processes, particularly P&L drivers and unit economics.
- Strong business partnering skills with the ability to quickly build relationships and engage effectively with stakeholders at all levels.
- Advanced Financial Modelling skills with proficiency in Excel/Google Sheet Skills.
