Job Description
Responsibilities:
- Lead the structural design and analysis for a wide range of civil infrastructure projects, including bridges, highways, buildings, and utility structures.
- Develop detailed structural models using advanced finite element analysis (FEA) software.
- Perform complex calculations for loads, stresses, and strains to ensure structural integrity and safety.
- Select appropriate structural materials (steel, concrete, composites) and design systems accordingly.
- Prepare comprehensive design reports, technical specifications, construction drawings, and tender documents.
- Oversee and mentor a team of civil and structural engineers, providing technical guidance and quality assurance.
- Collaborate effectively with architects, project managers, geotechnical engineers, and other stakeholders in a remote setting.
- Ensure designs comply with all relevant building codes, standards (e.g., Eurocodes, AASHTO), and regulations.
- Conduct site visits and provide technical support during construction phases as needed.
- Review contractor submittals and respond to Requests for Information (RFIs).

Qualifications:
- Master's degree or PhD in Civil or Structural Engineering.
- Minimum of 10 years of progressive experience in civil structural engineering, with a strong portfolio of complex infrastructure projects.
- Professional Engineer (PE) or Chartered Engineer (CEng) designation is mandatory.
- Expert proficiency in structural analysis software such as SAP2000, ETABS, STAAD.Pro, or similar.
- In-depth knowledge of structural design codes and standards.
- Experience with BIM software (e.g., Revit) is highly desirable.
- Proven leadership and team management skills, with the ability to lead and motivate remote engineering teams.
- Exceptional analytical, problem-solving, and critical-thinking skills.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, essential for remote collaboration and client interaction.
- Ability to work independently, manage multiple priorities, and deliver high-quality results in a fully remote setting.
- Experience in seismic design and analysis is a significant advantage.
