Reporting to the Maintenance Manager, the Mechanical Engineering Manager will manage all Mechanical maintenance activities of the plant by ensuring optimal availability of reliable equipment to the production team; minimal downtime, and operational efficiency.

Duties and Responsibilities

·    Plan, supervise, and execute preventive, corrective, and predictive maintenance of all mechanical equipment (kiln,   crushers, mills, conveyors, fans, compressors, etc.)

·    Oversee mechanical-related capital and plant improvement projects, including installation, upgrades, and refurbishments.

·    Monitor equipment performance and maintain an effective equipment history and maintenance record

·    Collaborate with the procurement team to ensure availability of critical spares and optimize inventory levels.

·    Identify cost-saving opportunities through efficient use of resources and optimized maintenance strategies.

·    Promote a safe working environment to ensure zero lost time accidents and compliance with statutory requirements

·    Continuously benchmark on plant and asset improvement areas to achieve world-class performance parameters 

Minimum qualifications;

·    Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical or Manufacturing Engineering.

·    5 years of experience in a mechanical maintenance role
