POSITION SUMMARY

Adeso is seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Project Manager & Financial Analyst (PMFA) to support both financial management and organization-wide project oversight. This dual function role provides an opportunity to work closely with the Finance team while contributing to the implementation of Adeso's Project Management Office (PMO), which is tasked with improving consistency and transparency across the organization's strategic initiatives.

SPECIFIC ROLES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Financial Analysis & Modeling

• Build dynamic, investor-grade financial models (e.g., income statements, cash flow
• projections, balance sheets) for each Adeso subsidiary.
• Prepare scenario and sensitivity analyses to assess business risks and upside cases.
• Conduct unit economics, customer acquisition cost (CAC), lifetime value (LTV), internal rate of return (IRR), and return on investment (ROI) analyses where applicable.
• Translate financial data into actionable insights and clearly articulated business cases for board and investor presentations.

Market & Investment Strategy

• Conduct in-depth market research and competitor benchmarking to inform pricing, expansion, and investment strategies.
• Support capital-raising efforts with pitch materials, financial narratives, and investor Q&A.
• Track key performance indicators (KPIs) and financial health metrics across subsidiaries to inform strategic pivots and investor updates.

Project Management

• Support the PMO in managing active projects and initiatives across departments.
• Implement and maintain project planning tools, templates, timelines, and reporting systems.
• Coordinate project meetings, document action items, and ensure timely follow-up.
• Monitor project deliverables, deadlines, and resource allocation.
• Help standardize project workflows and documentation practices across departments.
• Develop and monitor work plans, risk registers, and implementation trackers.
• Facilitate strategic alignment through regular reporting and project briefings for leadership.
• Serve as the operational liaison across finance, HR, and business development teams to ensure timely execution of initiatives.

Cross-Functional Collaboration

• Prepare content for strategic, board, and investor meetings, ensuring alignment with organizational and subsidiary-level goals.
• Assist with the development of SOPs, compliance frameworks, and internal controls for early-stage or growing enterprises.
• Provide budget reviews and cost analysis to inform resourcing decisions.
• Contribute to the development and tracking of business plans, OKRs, and internal performance dashboards.
• Work closely with program, operations, and finance teams to ensure alignment between financial planning and program execution.
• Support the integration of project and financial data for reporting and analysis.

EDUCATION, SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE

Education & Experience

• Bachelor's degree in Finance, Economics, Business, or related field (MBA or CFA is an advantage).
• Minimum of 5 years of experience in financial analysis, strategic planning, consulting, investment, or impact enterprise leadership.
• Strong background in building financial models and supporting fundraising/investor engagement.
• Experience in both for-profit ventures and mission-driven or NGO contexts preferred.
• PMP certification or substantial project management experience is highly desirable.

Technical & Analytical Skills

• Advanced Excel and financial modeling skills required.
• Experience with financial software (QuickBooks, Xero, SAP) and project tools (e.g., Asana, Trello).
• Strong skills in data visualization, reporting, and investor communications (e.g., PowerPoint, Google Slides).

Role Overview – Project Manager

The role of Project Manager will be to manage the execution of significant complex projects that involve the building of infrastructure such as communication towers and small commercial buildings and the installation of complex electrical systems that include power systems and sensitive communication equipment. The role is to understand, plan and manage the required process to complete the project and to co-ordinate and actively manage the multiple contractors, and SRT's own resources and logistics to successfully complete each site and ultimately the whole project. • ESSENTIAL - Extensive experience as a Project Manager for similar multi-site IT systems – ideally communication-based infrastructure

Responsibilities (not exhaustive) - Project Manager

• Work directly with and manage end customers and ICP in the field to manage and drive the project delivery plan, ensuring quality of delivery within the cost and time parameters set by the Chief Operating Officer
• Ensure that ICP works in strict accordance to the SRT systems delivery methods, providing training and ongoing guidance and support to ensure successful installation and commissioning of the entire system
• To ensure a holistic project implementation approach such that the finished system installation meets both the contracted specifications and inevitable small finishing details are not missed to ensure complete end customer satisfaction and a project implementation that provides a platform for continued future business with the end customer

• Manage and oversee the construction, installation and configuration work done by ICP and 3rd parties

• Provide clear and concise updates to SRT management on status, progress and potential risks and issues to the successful delivery of the project

Experience & Qualifications - Project Manager

• An Engineering and or IT networking background and / or qualification
• Capable of understanding systems drawings down to installation design drawings (racks, servers, cameras, radar, civil work) with role being in-country conduit between in country partner/customer back to technical team and delivery director
• Able to demonstrate the ability to diplomatically influence without authority with the ability to empathise and understand different cultures to flex approach whilst ensuring the target job is achieved
• Willingness to travel anywhere in the world for extended periods, with the role being primarily based in country with short trips back to UK during project execution
• Willingness to work on site with customers in a hands-on capacity when needed, assisting with day-to-day management and organisation of installation and troubleshooting

Background
The United Nations Development Programme (UNDP) in Kenya in partnership with the Ministry of Information, Communications and Digital Economy and Microsoft has co-created a Centre of Competence on Digital and AI Skilling for civil servants in Kenya. The center is envisioned as a multifunctional space focused on strengthening local digital ecosystems and cultivating multi-stakeholder partnerships that will accelerate digital transformation by enhancing the culture, competencies, and capacities of Governments across the continent. This project, established through the signing of the MoU between UNDP Kenya and the Ministry of Information, Communications, and the Digital Economy (MICDE), aims to support Kenya's digital transformation by strengthening digital and AI skills development. The project is closely aligned with Kenya's National Digital Master Plan , which highlights digital skills as a key pillar for national development. Leveraging UNDP's development expertise and its strategic partnership with the State Department of ICT and the Digital Economy, the initiative is well-positioned to deliver valuable technical support in advancing the Government's digital transformation agenda.

The partnerships will range from academia, public service, private sector, and the development sector and aim to drive digital inclusion, a prerequisite to ensuring the attainment of the Sustainable Development Goals.

The objectives of the Centre of Competence for Digital and AI Skilling are:

• To improve digital competencies within the public sector to accelerate digital transformation of the public sector in Kenya.
• To enhance access to advanced technologies and thus increase efficiency, inclusion, and service delivery within government.

Duties And Responsibilities
UNDP Kenya is seeking an experienced and results-driven Project Manager to lead the development, implementation, and scale-up of the Regional Centre of Competence for Digital and AI Skilling. The Project Manager will be responsible for end-to-end project delivery, including strategic planning, curriculum development oversight, stakeholder engagement, and regional rollout.
