Our client is a fast-growing Internet Service Provider (ISP) based in Gitaru, Kikuyu, Kiambu County, with a strong focus on delivering reliable internet connectivity and responsive customer support.
They are seeking a
Technician / Driver
who is technically skilled, customer-oriented, and dependable. This dual-role involves the installation and maintenance of internet services, as well as the safe transportation of technical teams and equipment to various client locations.
Key Responsibilities
Technical Duties
· Install routers, modems, and networking equipment at client sites
· Perform routine maintenance and troubleshoot internet issues
· Conduct site surveys and recommend installation approaches
· Provide support and guidance to clients on installed equipment
· Maintain accurate documentation of tasks and report technical issues
Driving & Field Support
· Safely transport equipment and technical staff to and from client sites
· Assist in loading/unloading tools and materials
· Maintain the assigned vehicle in clean, working condition
· Follow traffic rules and safety protocols during all field operations
Qualifications & Requirements
· Certificate or Diploma in Telecommunications, IT, or related field
· 1–2 years of hands-on experience in a technical role (preferably in ISP or telecoms)
· Valid Kenyan driver's license
· Strong technical troubleshooting and networking skills
· Good communication and customer service skills
· Familiarity with internet installation tools, safety standards, and mobile apps
· Ability to work independently in the field and in varied environments
· Residing in or near Kiambu County (or willing to relocate)
