Our client is seeking a dedicated and nurturing Lead Infant Care Specialist to manage their early learning program for infants in **Ruiru, Kiambu, KE**. This pivotal role involves providing a safe, stimulating, and supportive environment for infants aged 0-18 months, guiding a team of caregivers, and ensuring the highest standards of childcare are met. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience with infant development, a passion for early childhood education, and strong leadership qualities.

- Oversee daily operations of the infant care room, ensuring a safe, clean, and child-friendly environment.
- Develop and implement age-appropriate curriculum and activities that promote cognitive, social, emotional, and physical development in infants.
- Supervise, mentor, and train a team of infant care providers, fostering a collaborative and supportive atmosphere.
- Conduct regular assessments of infant development and progress, communicating effectively with parents about their child's milestones and needs.
- Implement and enforce all health, safety, and licensing regulations, including emergency preparedness plans.
- Create daily schedules that balance structured learning activities, free play, feeding, and rest periods.
- Manage feeding routines, diaper changes, and nap times with sensitivity and attention to individual infant needs.
- Build positive and trusting relationships with parents, providing them with regular updates and support.
- Ensure all caregivers adhere to best practices in infant care, including hygiene and sanitation protocols.
- Maintain accurate records of attendance, feeding, sleep, and developmental observations for each child.
- Collaborate with management on staffing, scheduling, and professional development for the infant care team.
- Organize and lead parent-teacher meetings and community engagement events.
- Act as a primary point of contact for parents, addressing concerns and providing guidance on infant care.
Qualifications:
- Diploma or Certificate in Early Childhood Education (ECE), Childcare, or a related field. A Bachelor's degree is preferred.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in infant care, with at least 2 years in a supervisory or lead role.
- Extensive knowledge of infant developmental stages and best practices in early childhood education.
- Strong understanding of child safety regulations and health standards.
- Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
- Proven ability to manage and motivate a team effectively.
- Patience, empathy, and a genuine love for working with infants.
- First Aid and CPR certifications are mandatory.
- Experience in curriculum development for infants is highly desirable.
- Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information.
