The ideal candidate will manage international shipping, customs, warehousing, and transport while driving cost efficiency, compliance, and operational excellence to support Spiro's growing electric mobility network.

Key Responsibilities

Shipment Planning & Execution

  • Manage international ocean and air freight bookings with carriers and freight forwarders.
  • Coordinate supplier collections and ensure full compliance with incoterms and export regulations.
  • Plan and execute PVOC inspections with approved agencies (Bureau Veritas, Intertek, SGS) for Kenya and Uganda.
  • Oversee all shipment documentation, including Certificates of Conformity for customs clearance.
  • Track shipments using digital platforms (e.g., GoComet, Windward, SeaVantage) to ensure on-time delivery.
  • Use predictive logistics tools to monitor ETAs, port congestion, and transshipment risks.

Customs & Compliance

  • Supervise import and transit clearance processes for Kenya and Uganda.
  • Liaise with KRA, URA, and logistics partners to ensure timely and compliant clearance.
