Responsibilities:
- Develop, implement, and continuously improve comprehensive quality assurance strategies and procedures for automotive manufacturing processes.
- Lead and mentor a remote team of Quality Assurance professionals, fostering a culture of continuous improvement and zero defects.
- Oversee the design and execution of quality control plans, inspection protocols, and testing methodologies for components and finished vehicles.
- Analyze production data, quality metrics, and defect trends to identify root causes and implement corrective and preventive actions (CAPA).
- Collaborate with engineering, production, and supply chain teams to ensure product quality is maintained throughout the entire lifecycle, from design to post-production.

- Ensure compliance with automotive industry quality standards (e.g., IATF 16949) and customer-specific requirements.
- Develop and maintain quality documentation, including quality manuals, work instructions, and quality reports.
- Lead cross-functional teams to resolve complex quality issues and implement systemic improvements.
- Conduct remote audits and assessments of manufacturing processes and quality systems.
- Stay current with advancements in quality management techniques, automotive technology, and relevant standards.
- Drive initiatives to reduce waste, rework, and warranty claims.
- Facilitate and participate in design reviews and FMEA (Failure Mode and Effects Analysis) sessions.
- Report on quality performance to senior management, providing insights and strategic recommendations.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a related technical field. Master's degree preferred.
- Minimum of 7 years of experience in Quality Assurance or Quality Engineering within the automotive manufacturing industry.
- Proven experience in a leadership or supervisory role, managing QA teams.
- Deep understanding of IATF 16949 standards and quality management systems.
- Proficiency in quality tools and methodologies such as SPC, FMEA, Root Cause Analysis, and CAPA.
- Experience with various manufacturing processes relevant to the automotive sector.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
- Excellent communication, interpersonal, and leadership skills, with the ability to motivate and guide a remote team.
- Experience with quality management software and data analysis tools.
- Ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams in a remote environment.
- Knowledge of Lean Manufacturing principles is a plus.
- Six Sigma Black Belt or Green Belt certification is highly desirable.
