Our client is at the forefront of developing cutting-edge AI solutions and is seeking a visionary Remote Lead AI Ethics Researcher to establish and guide their AI ethics framework. This is a fully remote position, enabling you to work from anywhere and contribute to shaping the responsible development of artificial intelligence. The ideal candidate will possess a deep understanding of AI technologies, ethical principles, and societal implications. You will be responsible for developing robust ethical guidelines, conducting research on potential biases and risks, and advising development teams on best practices to ensure AI systems are fair, transparent, and beneficial.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop and implement a comprehensive AI ethics framework, policies, and guidelines for the organization.
  • Conduct in-depth research on emerging ethical challenges in AI, including bias, fairness, accountability, privacy, and transparency.
  • Analyze AI models and algorithms for potential ethical risks and biases, proposing mitigation strategies.
  • Collaborate with AI engineers, data scientists, product managers, and legal teams to integrate ethical considerations into the entire AI development lifecycle.
  • Stay abreast of global AI ethics regulations, standards, and best practices, ensuring organizational compliance.
  • Lead and mentor a team of AI ethics researchers and specialists.
  • Develop and deliver training programs on AI ethics to internal teams.
  • Publish research findings, contribute to academic discourse, and represent the organization at relevant conferences.

A strong academic background in computer science, philosophy, law, social sciences, or a related field, with a specialization in AI ethics, is required. Demonstrated experience in leading research initiatives and managing teams is essential.
