We are looking for an HPC Infrastructure Support Engineer for our client XTX Markets Technologies at their data centre in Kajaani. This is a full-time, permanent position. The workplace is located in Kajaani, and the employer supports relocation if needed.

In this role, you'll be responsible for maintaining and supporting the HPC (high-performance computing) cluster at the Kajaani data centre. You'll also support projects, vendor collaboration, and inventory management. The role requires on-call availability and occasional overtime. The selected candidate will be directly employed by XTX Markets. Barona Engineering is the recruitment partner.
Your Responsibilities Include
- Deployment and maintenance of infrastructure (servers, switches, storage, cabling).
- Hardware installations, updates, and repairs.
- Collaboration with vendors for maintenance and support.
- Inventory and logistics management, including international shipments.
- Supporting projects (e.g., deployment of 1,000 servers).
- Participating in platform design and customization.
We Hope You Have
- A relevant higher education degree in IT, electrical/electronics engineering.
- Experience working in data centres and strong understanding of high-speed networking, including fibre types and transceivers.
- Knowledge of networking, hardware, and server software.
- Experience using hardware monitoring and management tools.
- Fluency in English is required. Proficiency in Finnish is considered as an advantage.
- A social and outgoing personality, enthusiastic attitude, and ability to build strong relationships.
- A responsible and precise working style, strong problem-solving and troubleshooting skills.
