Job Description
BME Fire Trucks is seeking experienced Material Handlers to be a part of our Inventory Team. This role demands detail-oriented individuals who can manage material movement efficiently, maintain organized inventory areas, and support production needs in a fast-paced manufacturing environment. This role involves working closely with receivers, pickers, paint and production employees.
As a Material Handler, Your Responsibilities Will Include
- Supporting production staff with timely deliveries, part/material returns processing, and inventory problem-solving.
- Assisting in the coordination of material and part needs across departments, communicating promptly with the necessary teams.
- Performing cycle counts, Organizing and maintaining staging areas, and materials issuing as needed to keep production running smoothly.
- Using forklifts to load, unload trailers, and move parts between operations.
- Transportation of palletized parts using a pickup truck and flatbed trailer.
- Delivering and picking up parts of varying sizes and priorities using company vehicles as needed.
- Representing BME professionally when interacting with third-party partners.

What It Takes To Catch Our Eye
- Valid driver's license with a clean driving record
- Previous driving or delivery experience using a truck and trailer
- 1-2 years of experience in inventory, warehouse, material handling, or similar role.
- Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Prior forklift experience.
- Strong communication abilities, with the ability to coordinate across departments effectively.
- Ability to prioritize tasks in a fast-paced environment.
- Ability to collaborate cross departmentally with Procurement, Inventory, and Production teams.
