Sales Engineers also play a key role in influencing product development. The International Sales Engineer
reports to the Director of Sales Engineering on the Sales Engineering team. This position is eligible for 100% remote work, depending on location.

The following is a list of at least some of the current essential job functions of the position. Management may assign or reassign duties and responsibilities at any time at its discretion.

ROLE AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Provide pre- and post-sales technical support, including system planning, customer training, system optimization, etc.
  • Become an expert on the operation and application of Silvus' unique radio and networking solutions and its advantages over competing technologies.
  • Prepare and conduct product demonstrations for customer visits and equipment evaluations.
  • Visit customer sites to provide technical support and conduct training.
  • Troubleshoot failures and abnormal situations in the field.
  • Collect and analyze field failures and abnormalities; provide feedback to the development team.
  • Participate in resource allocation and hardware maintenance to support different sales and business development activities.
  • Help design engineers reproduce and troubleshoot problems; help drive future product development.

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS

  • Bachelor's Degree (or international equivalent) in Electrical Engineering or other related technical fields, plus 2 years of demonstrated experience in a pre-and post-sales technical support position OR minimum completion of secondary education (such as GCSEs or an equivalent national qualification; high school diploma or GED) with at least 6 years of demonstrated experience in a pre- and post-sales technical support position.
  • Proficiency with RF instruments such as signal generators and spectrum analyzers.
  • All employment is contingent upon the successful clearance of a background check.

PREFERRED KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES

  • Experience with operating and testing IP radios/modems.
  • Familiarity with Linux.
  • Proficiency with TCP/IP protocol and networking.

  • Exposure to and proficiency with programming languages such as C/C++.

COMPENSATION
The pay range is NOT a guarantee. It is based on market research and peer data, and will vary depending on the candidate's experience and qualifications.
US Pay Range

$70,000—$110,000 USD

Job Description

We are recruiting on behalf of a confidential Fintech API Infrastructure Firm, based in Dubai, with expansion plans for Africa.

The Business Development Manager will play a pivotal role in driving company growth across African markets by developing new business, managing key client relationships, and expanding market presence.

This is a remote role based in Nairobi, with travel within East Africa as required.

Key Responsibilities

  • Identify and pursue new business opportunities to expand market presence across East Africa and broader African regions within the fintech and banking ecosystem.
  • Build and sustain strong relationships with Governmental institutions, Regulators, banks, fintechs, and digital enterprises to drive the adoption of fintech solutions.
  • Plan and execute effective sales strategies to achieve revenue growth targets.
  • Collaborate with internal teams to tailor product offerings to regional client needs.
  • Manage the whole sales process from client prospecting to Project Delivery
  • Represent the company at industry events to strengthen brand visibility and gather market intelligence.
  • Provide market feedback and intelligence to inform strategy

Location and Reporting

  • Based in Nairobi, Kenya (Fully Remote)
  • Reports to VP of Business Development, based in Dubai, UAE
  • Travel requirement: Approximately 25-40% travel within Africa

Geographies Covered

  • Kenya (primary base)
  • East Africa (Uganda, Tanzania, Ethiopia, Rwanda and neighbouring countries)

Candidate Profile

  • Must be a Kenyan citizen with no travel restrictions within Africa
  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Finance, or related field
  • Minimum +5 years experience in banking, fintech or financial services business development or software presales
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and relationship management skills
  • Self-motivated, entrepreneurial mindset, and ability to work independently in a remote setup
  • Must be comfortable working with the full MS suite of products

Remuneration

  • Monthly salary range: USD1,500 to 2,500 based on level of experience
