Job Description
Our client, a global leader in (Industry - e.g., manufacturing/technology/services), is actively seeking a highly skilled and strategic Senior Procurement Specialist to join their fully remote procurement team. This role is pivotal in driving cost savings, ensuring supply chain resilience, and optimizing vendor relationships across the organization. You will be responsible for identifying new sourcing opportunities, negotiating complex contracts, and managing supplier performance, all while working independently and collaboratively from your remote location.
Key responsibilities include:
The ideal candidate will possess a Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, Finance, or a related field, with a minimum of 7 years of progressive experience in procurement, sourcing, and contract negotiation. Proven expertise in strategic sourcing methodologies and advanced negotiation techniques is essential. Strong analytical skills and proficiency in procurement software and tools are required. Excellent communication, interpersonal, and stakeholder management skills are crucial for success in a remote environment. A CIPS or equivalent certification is highly desirable. Experience in managing indirect or direct spend categories relevant to our client's industry is a significant advantage. Key responsibilities include:
- Developing and executing strategic sourcing plans to identify and onboard new suppliers globally.
- Conducting thorough market research and supplier analysis to ensure competitive pricing and quality.
- Leading complex negotiations with suppliers to secure favorable terms, pricing, and service level agreements.
- Managing and fostering strong, long-term relationships with key suppliers.
- Developing and implementing category management strategies for assigned spend areas.
- Monitoring supplier performance against contractual obligations and driving continuous improvement.
- Ensuring compliance with procurement policies, ethical standards, and regulatory requirements.
- Collaborating with internal stakeholders to understand their procurement needs and provide expert advice.

- Preparing detailed reports on procurement activities, savings, and market trends.
