Consultant Engineer
to deliver a full technical assessment, reporting, and project costing for a residential water and sanitation project.
Key Responsibilities
Conduct a comprehensive on-site inspection
of the residence to evaluate existing conditions (plumbing, sanitation, and potential for rainwater harvesting).
Assess feasibility and requirements
for installing a sewage treatment plant and rainwater harvesting system.
Prepare a detailed technical report
with design recommendations, system specifications, and sustainability considerations.
Develop a complete Bill of Quantities (BoQ)
, including material and labor requirements.
Prepare a costed project quotation
covering all phases of implementation.
Advise on best practices
for long-term operation, maintenance, and efficiency of proposed systems.
Engage with the Maji Hill team
to align the report and quotation with client needs and project scope.
Requirements
Degree/Diploma in Civil, Water, Environmental, or Sanitation Engineering.
Proven experience in plumbing design, rainwater harvesting, wastewater management, and household water systems.
Strong technical reporting and cost estimation skills.
Ability to deliver within short timelines.
Licenses & Certifications (Mandatory/Preferred)
Registration with
EBK (Engineers Board of Kenya)
or equivalent professional body.
Valid
NCA accreditation
for water & sanitation works (preferred).
Membership with
IEK (Institution of Engineers of Kenya)
or other relevant professional association.
Certification in
Health, Safety & Environment (HSE)
is an added advantage.
Duration
