About Healthy Entrepreneurs
Healthy Entrepreneurs (HE) is a social enterprise based in Kenya (and several other countries). HE aims to improve the access to basic health care for people living in rural and remote communities (>70% of the population). HE recruits and trains Community Health Promoters who have an entrepreneurial spirit and skills. They and we invest and are provided with the tools and products to become Community Health Entrepreneurs (CHEs), serving their communities by selling reliable and affordable health products and services, educating communities and providing access to a doctor-at-distance/telehealth desk. The money they make, they can reinvest by buying new products to sell and repaying their credit. HE is implementing its franchise model via more than 20,000 Community Health Entrepreneurs (our customers) worldwide today. This model allows the CHPs to earn an income while being able to provide more access the health care for their communities.

For more information about Healthy Entrepreneurs, look at our website Engagement Officer is part of the Engagement Team that is responsible for successful development and implementation of an improved approach to enhance the growth, performance, and retention of the Community Health Entrepreneurs (CHEs). This role focuses on and will be based in Makueni offices, and includes all aspects of CHE Engagement; selection, onboarding, retention, continued training, coaching and performance monitoring.
The Engagement Officer reports to the Engagement Lead and the Country Manager Kenya and works with the Engagement team towards the above mentioned objective.
< r>Key Responsibilities:
Engagement & market
o Improvement, implementation, and execution of the HE engagement strategy and growth plan
o ffective execution, communication, reporting
o Ensuring that CHEs are well-trained, supported, and motivated to achieve their entrepreneurial goals, fostering a culture of continuous improvement
o Ensure smooth and effective engagement where telehealth and business coaching and operations are well aligned
o External stakeholder management: build and maintain relationship with county health officials in support of the HE model, act as ambassador to HE, actively share the HE model and its benefits
o Ensure focus on all aspects of the engagement approach:
o Selection
- Mobilization and stakeholder management with county officials
- Assessment of key success traits and skills
- Effective and efficient execution of the selection process
o Onboarding/training
- Proper preparation of CHEs for their CHE role by familiarizing them with the programs, model, and train key skills and mindset and set them up for growth
- Expectations management & contracting
o Coaching for growth
- Continued guidance and development towards growing their business
- Development of key skills (business, finance, sales)
- Increased health knowledge with the telehealth team
- Coach for effective mindset, learning and behavioural change
- Monitor growth
o Retention
- Utilize CRM tools to build and maintain long-term relationships with CHEs.
- Develop retention activities to ensure continued engagement and loyalty from CHEs.
o Collect, review and address challenges faced by CHEs, focusing on renewing customer loyalty and increasing sales growth.
o Collect market information and CHE feedback towards an improved product portfolio
o Ensure commercial aspects of last-mile markets are effectively included in the engagement approach
o Support credit provision where it enhances growth in line with company policy
o Ensure HE supports CHEs ultimately in expanding their market and growing their business
Operations
o Identify room for improved internal and engagement processes (i.t.o cost-efficiency and effectivity)
o Identify and implement operational improvements concerning product delivery
o Liaise effectively with Procurement & Warehouse team
Reporting and Performance Monitoring:
o Effective internal reporting, communication and stakeholder management
o Report on key performance indicators (KPIs) related to CHE retention, sales growth, and CHE engagement to the Healthy Entrepreneurs leadership team.
o Monitor and manage outstanding credit balances and repayment strategies in collaboration with the finance department.

< r>Requirements:
Work experience
• A minimum of 5 years working experience in Business, Sales, Operations related activities. < r>• Degree in business, sales, management or related topic. < r>• Professional experience in health-related sector will be an advantage. < r>• Relevant experience with logistics and distribution will be a plus. < r>
Skills
• Team work – very good collaboration and communication skills
• Planning and organizational skills < r>• Strong coordinating and process skills < r>• C mputer skills (word, ppt, excel) – Odoo, PowerBI, Canva are a plus
• Language: English is a must and local language(s) < r>• uick to grasp concepts
• I ementation power & energy < r>• raining, coaching and people skills
