About You And The Role
We are seeking a highly motivated and skilled GIS Data Analyst to build the data analytics function within our Sales and Partnerships team in Africa. This pivotal role will bridge operational data, impact metrics, and geospatial intelligence to uncover insights, craft compelling narratives, and drive strategic growth.
You'll collaborate closely with the Sales and Partnerships and GIS Engineering teams to uncover trends, optimize strategies, and support the company's mission across key markets. This role is ideal for someone who thrives in dynamic environments and can fluidly bridge technical expertise with business storytelling.
You'll help design and maintain systems for aggregating spatial data from diverse sources, validating flight routes, and delivering geospatial services across Zipline. These systems are essential for managing risk, ensuring regulatory compliance, and driving operational excellence.
What You'll Do
- Design and maintain analytics frameworks that connect geospatial and operational data to business outcomes. Uncover trends, develop KPIs, and support data-driven decision-making across sales, marketing, and government engagement efforts.
- Collaborate with GIS engineers and operations teams to refine Zipline's spatial data pipelines. Ensure accurate and validated flight routing and territory mapping using up-to-date satellite, drone, and local data sources.
- Conduct spatial analyses to estimate travel time and distance to health facilities using road network data, elevation models, and service delivery catchments.
- Support monitoring and evaluation (M&E) studies by integrating geospatial data with health, demographic, and operational datasets to inform impact assessments.
- Access and analyze remote sensing data from platforms such as Google Earth Engine, Sentinel, or Landsat to support environmental, demographic, and infrastructure-related research.
- Design and implement spatial regression models and geographically weighted analyses to explore spatial patterns in health outcomes and service accessibility.
- Contribute to the design of sampling strategies for household surveys, including spatial enumeration and clustering techniques to ensure representativeness and feasibility in the field.
- Develop models to identify optimal locations for new Zipline distribution centers based on geospatial, socioeconomic, epidemiological, and logistical factors.
- Analyze disease outbreak patterns and model the geographical dissemination of infectious diseases to support response planning and proactive health interventions.
- Create clear, reproducible spatial data pipelines and visualizations to support internal decision-making and external communications with stakeholders.
- Collaborate closely with data scientists, impact evaluators, engineers, and policy teams to translate research questions into actionable geospatial analyses.
What You'll Bring
- 5+ years of hands-on experience in GIS and spatial analysis, preferably in a sales or customer success environment
- Strong working knowledge of GIS Tools such as ArcGIS or QGIS
- Strong proficiency in Generative AI tools and applications relevant to data analysis and visualization.
- Advanced skills in data visualization using tools like Mode, Tableau, Power BI, or Matplotlib
- Experience in writing SQL queries to extract, manipulate, and analyze large datasets from relational databases; ability to optimize SQL queries for performance improvements, create and maintain database schemas, and manage database security
- Familiarity with geospatial risk modeling, transportation/logistics networks, or public health infrastructure in Sub-Saharan Africa.
- Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills
- Strong communication skills with the ability to present complex data in a clear, concise manner; ability to communicate clearly with both technical and non-technical audiences
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple projects simultaneously
- Inherent self-motivation, adaptability, and creativity
Preferable but not required:
Experience with spatial components of monitoring and evaluation (M&E) systems or household survey design.
- Prior work on optimizing logistics or health delivery systems using geospatial models.
- Proficiency with cloud-based platforms for big spatial data or machine learning (e.g. AWS, GEE, Databricks).

About You And The Role
As a member of Zipline's Flight Operations team in Chemelil, Kenya, you'll be responsible for ensuring that the delivery of medical products to health facilities is done in a safe and timely manner. This will involve working with a team of flight operators to conduct regular pre-flight inspections, launching, and recovery of the drones (aircraft). You'll be trained to conduct regular maintenance of the drones and other equipment at our site to support ongoing operations. You will be expected to contribute to the continuous improvement of our daily operations and processes to support the growth of our operations as we scale.
What You'll Do
- Launch and Recovery: You will be responsible for the safe assembly of drones in preparation for 150+ flights, perform critical checks, communicate with Zipline controllers in readiness for flight, launch and disassemble drones on return to the Distribution Center.
- Maintenance of drones and ground equipment: You will be responsible for performing corrective and preventive maintenance: scheduled or unscheduled on Zipline's Aircraft and Ground Equipment. The maintenance includes but is not limited to Aircraft body maintenance, aircraft wing maintenance, etc.
- Troubleshooting: You will be required to follow troubleshooting guidelines for the drones and ground equipment and collaborate with locally-based and USA based engineering teams to troubleshoot and optimize issues.
- Projects: You may be involved in short-term and long-term projects that involve collaboration across functional teams in efforts to scale drone deliveries to 150+ and improve operational efficiency.
What You'll Bring
- Diploma or Degree in Mechanical/Electrical/Electronics/Aerospace Engineering
- A certificate in radio telephony from the Kenya Civil Aviation Authority
- An English proficiency certificate from the Kenya Civil Aviation Authority
- You enjoy working in the field and are not afraid to get your hands dirty
- Ability to stay focused, humble, and safety-conscious during 12 hour shifts
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and enjoy work that keeps you on your feet
- Ability to maintain focus during extended daily flight operations

- This is a full-time position based in Chemelil and will require relocation to Kisumu/Kisumu environs

As a Fulfillment Operations Professional, you will be part of the team that ensures that blood products, medical products and animal health products are delivered from our distribution centers to health care facilities in a safe, reliable, and fast manner. Customer Service & Order Fulfillment:

About You And The Role
As a Facilities Supervisor, you will play a hands-on role in maintaining the site, ensuring daily facility operations run smoothly, and supporting the comfort and mobility of staff and visitors. You will actively perform facility checks, minor maintenance, and workspace organization. In addition to your operational tasks, you will oversee the drivers, coordinate staff and service movements, manage visitor accommodation, and ensure a comfortable, safe, and well-maintained environment for everyone at the nest. You will also support people leadership through task-level coordination, providing feedback, participating in hiring, conducting informal one-on-ones, and contributing to performance snapshots.
