Our client, a leader in industrial automation and advanced manufacturing solutions, is seeking an experienced Senior Robotics Engineer to join their innovative, fully remote team. This role will focus on the design, development, simulation, and implementation of sophisticated robotic systems for various industrial applications. You will be at the forefront of integrating robotics and automation technologies to enhance efficiency, safety, and productivity for our global clientele. This position requires a strong foundation in mechanical engineering principles, control systems, and programming languages commonly used in robotics. You will collaborate closely with software engineers, controls engineers, and project managers to deliver state-of-the-art robotic solutions. Key responsibilities include: designing robotic end-effectors and tooling, developing kinematic and dynamic models, programming industrial robots (e.g., FANUC, KUKA, ABB), implementing control algorithms, performing system integration and testing, troubleshooting complex automation issues, and contributing to the R&D of next-generation robotic technologies. Experience with CAD/CAM software, simulation tools (e.g., ROS, Gazebo), and real-time operating systems is essential. The ideal candidate will possess a Master's degree or Ph.D. in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Mechatronics, or a related field, with at least 7 years of hands-on experience in robotics and automation engineering. A strong portfolio showcasing successful robotics projects and excellent problem-solving abilities are required. Fluency in programming languages such as C++, Python, and experience with PLC programming are highly desirable. Our client is seeking an experienced Senior Robotics Engineer with a specialization in automation to join their fully remote engineering team. This role is critical for developing and deploying advanced robotic systems and automated solutions across various industrial applications. You will be responsible for the design, simulation, programming, and integration of robotic systems, focusing on optimizing efficiency, safety, and performance. The ideal candidate will have a deep understanding of kinematics, dynamics, control systems, and programming languages commonly used in robotics, such as C++ and Python, along with extensive experience with ROS.

- Design, develop, and implement robotic systems and automation solutions for complex industrial challenges.
- Program industrial robots (e.g., FANUC, KUKA, ABB) and collaborative robots using vendor-specific languages and high-level programming environments.

- Implement and tune robot control algorithms, including kinematics, inverse kinematics, and path planning.
- Integrate robotic systems with other automation components, such as PLCs, sensors, vision systems, and conveyor belts.
- Conduct feasibility studies and define technical specifications for new robotic applications.
- Troubleshoot and debug hardware and software issues in robotic systems.
- Develop and maintain documentation for robotic system designs, programming, and operation.
- Stay current with the latest advancements in robotics, AI, machine learning, and automation technologies.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including mechanical engineers, electrical engineers, and software developers.
- Provide technical guidance and mentorship to junior engineers.
Qualifications:
- Master's degree or Ph.D. in Robotics, Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field.
- 5+ years of hands-on experience in robotics engineering and automation system design.
- Proficiency in C++ and Python programming languages.
- Extensive experience with the Robot Operating System (ROS) and its associated tools.
- Strong understanding of robot kinematics, dynamics, control theory, and motion planning algorithms.
- Experience with 3D CAD software (e.g., SolidWorks, AutoCAD) and simulation tools (e.g., Gazebo, CoppeliaSim).
- Familiarity with industrial robot programming and hardware interfaces.
- Experience with machine vision systems and integration is a plus.
- Excellent problem-solving, analytical, and debugging skills.
- Strong communication and teamwork abilities, essential for a remote collaborative environment.
- Ability to work independently and manage project tasks effectively.
