Our client is seeking a highly experienced and technically proficient Senior Reservoir Engineer to contribute to their strategic subsurface development initiatives. This is a fully remote position, offering unparalleled flexibility to work from anywhere within Kenya. You will play a critical role in analyzing and optimizing hydrocarbon recovery from oil and gas reservoirs, utilizing advanced simulation techniques and data analytics. - Mentor junior reservoir engineers and contribute to the team's technical growth.
- Stay current with advancements in reservoir engineering software and methodologies.
- Ensure compliance with industry standards and best practices in reservoir management.
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Petroleum Engineering, Chemical Engineering, or a related field.
- Minimum of 7 years of progressive experience in reservoir engineering within the oil and gas industry.
- Proven experience with reservoir simulation software (e.g., Petrel, Eclipse, CMG).
- Strong understanding of reservoir characterization, fluid properties, and phase behavior.
- Experience with production data analysis and well performance optimization.
- Knowledge of various EOR methods and their application.
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills, essential for effective remote collaboration.
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
